In this ten week course, you will learn how to use a sewing machine and then adapt it for patchwork. Also learning how to use a rotary blade, cutting mat and ruler.
You will grasp all aspects of patchwork, peicing, batting, layering, binding and then quilting. You will create a mini sample with everything you have learnt. You will then go on to choose a larger project to work on.

Mini-Quilts

In this workshop, you will choose one of the mini quilts to make.
Each quilt uses a different technique: free motion, stained glass and fabric collage.

Beginners - Jelly Roll Quilt

In this workshop, you will complete a quilt top using a 20 strip jellyroll and applique circles.
You may purchase wadding and backing to complete the quilt.

Quilt as you go Blocks - Monthly

Quilting should be enjoyable and not a chore after you have painstakingly pieced your quilt together. Why not have a go at this Quilt as you go blocks.
You will quilt all the layers as you go instead of at the end. It is a more managable way to quilt and learn new quilting techniques like stippling.

Stained Glass Blocks - Monthly
This is a great monthly class to create stained glass quilt as you go blocks. Just using pieces of fabric with bondaweb, you make a design and finish off with fusible bias.
This can be machine or hand finished. At the end of the classes, you will put the blocks together using sashing to form a mini quilt.

Foundation Paper Piercing

Foundation paper piecing is also know as 'flip and sew, sew and flip.' It's a traditional method creating perfect blocks every time.
The foundation template is drawn or printed on paper and seams are sewn directly onto the lines of that paper. Give this a go and you will not look back.
