Come and learn how to make either a Rope Bag or Rope Baskets with rope and fabric. We will show you how to wrap fabric around the rope, how to set the sewing machine on zig-zag.
In the workshop, everyone will receive 45m of 6mm rope. You can decide whether you make a bag, or several baskets
Bring your own scraps of fabric or purchase a Fat Quarter bundle from myself.
For the bag: Pre cut your scraps into strips, approx 1" - 1.5" wide. You will need 3/4 metre, depending on how much fabric you would like to use in your bag. (Bring extra with you)
For the baskets: Pre cut your scraps into strips, approx 1" - 1.5" wide. You will need 1/4 metre, depending on how much fabric you would like to use on your baskets. (Bring extra with you)
You will also receive a complete set of handouts.
Extra rope will be available to purchase if you wanted to make more.Perfect for complete beginners.
Knowledge of using a sewing machine required. Bring lunch and your sewing machine if you have one. If you would like to use one of mine, please request one in advance.
